George Vavakis is a graphic designer and photographer living and working in Perth, Western Australia.

Drawing on his background in graphic design, George pays particular focus to the manipulation of formal photographic elements when creating his landscape images.

His manipulation of these elements recontextualises the aspects of the built or natural environment that he focuses on to create new realities – transforming the ordinary and mundane into something extraordinary.

George has exhibited his works on several occasions in Perth, Western Australia. Most notably, he held his first solo exhibition Vólta at There Is gallery in 2021.
